Hotels in New York, Washington and other cities value Spanish speakers, as many of their employees are native speakers.   

All students at Shannon College study a second language; Spanish, French or German. Non native English speakers take English as their second language. The entry requirement is a D3 grade in Ordinary Level in the Leaving Cert. Students who have language  exemptions in the Leaving Cert can carry forward their exemption to Shannon College.
