International students spend 12 months on paid work placement in leading Irish hotels. The Year 2 placement is an operational placement which reinforces the practical training and language studies of Year 1 and builds knowledge of industry practice and systems. Students have an oppportunity to work in different departments throughout the hotel. The Year 2 Placement is also a great chance for international students to travel around and explore Ireland.

Placement Interviews:

Hotels normally require an interview prior to accepting students on placement. Shannon’s Placement Manager coordinates and manages the interview and placement process. Students are prepared for interviews and throughout Year 1 in Business Communications and Personal class and language classes.
