Accommodation
Shannon College organises village style accommodation for Study Abroad students. The students live in Bunratty village, 10 minutes drive from Shannon College. Each house has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen and a dining/living room. Three students share a house and students have complimentary use of the leisure centre and swimming pool at a near-by hotel. The cost of accommodation per semester is €1,650.
Study Abroad students also have the option of arranging their own accommodation.
Transport
Shannon Collegge organises a bus to bring students to class each weekday morning at 8:15am. As students all finish at different times in the evening (due to assignments and study etc.) students arrange their own transport in the evening, often taking the public bus home.
Meals
Shannon College’s training restaurant takes bookings from students for lunch on certain days of the week. Students are served a three course lunch for approx €8. Some students have lunch in a local hotel which has a special student menu and others bring lunch with them to college. The houses have fully equipped kitchens so students tend to cook their evening meal at home. Bunratty Village (where student accommodation is located) has plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes, giving students lots of options for eating out.
Business Suit
Shannon College students wear a business suit to class each day. Visiting students are not required to buy the college suit but will be required to wear a similar suit. The suit should be charcoal (dark grey) in colour with a white shirt. Female students can wear either a trousers or skirt. Visiting students can buy the college tie/scarf when they arrive at Shannon.
Health Insurance
Visiting students are required to provide the college on arrival with proof of their health insurance cover.
