Facilities

The Shannon College campus provides students with a range of services and facilities designed to support the learning environment. Chief among them are the library facilities. The College library offers an extensive collection of print and electronic resources relating to the study of business management and the international hospitality industry. The library is open weekdays from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. and provides students with extensive reference and enquiry services, inter-library loan facilities and access to journal databases.

Internet facilities are available to all students once they have registered at the College. A wide variety of software is installed on the computers located in the computer suite and language laboratory. The multimedia language laboratory is utilised extensively by students, as language training and tutorials are a key element of all academic programmes at Shannon College.

As a college of international hotel management committed to excellence in teaching, the College is particularly proud of its Food and Beverage Building. This building houses a state of the art production kitchen, teaching kitchen and 65-seater restaurant.

Shannon College is committed to improving access for people with specific learning difficulties and/or disabilities to all its programmes. In addition to the current facilities available, the supports provided to people with special needs are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

The College provides free access to a doctor on campus. To enable students to deal with personal problems, the College provides a confidential counselling service.
