Strictly Come Dancing in aid of NOVAS
Shannon College faculty and students stepped it out at a Strictly Come Dancing competition held in the Woodstock hotel in Ennis recently. The College charity committee and the Year 4 Event Management class came together to organise the event in order to raise funds for NOVAS, this year’s chosen charity. Novas is a voluntary organisation working with single adults, families and children who are disadvantaged and socially excluded; primarily those who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. The judges on the night included David Wallace, former Irish & Munster rugby player, Emma O’Driscoll, Television Presenter and Elaine Giltinane, Placement Officer, Shannon College.
