Certified Sommelier & Expert in Restaurant Service

Congratulations to Andrew Langford, Lecturer in Food & Beverage Studies and Acting Food & Beverage Manager on becoming a Certified Sommelier recently. Andrew has also been appointed to the role of Expert in Restaurant Service for WorldSkills Ireland for the 2017 WorldSkills competition being held in Abu Dhabi in October. This role involves selecting and training the competitor that will represent Ireland in the competition. The WorldSkills Competition, which is held every two years, is the world’s largest professional education event with approximately 1,200 competitors from 60 countries competing in almost 50 different skills and disciplines.
