Best Paper Award at THRIC 2010

THRIC WinnerThe ‘Best Research Paper’  award was presented to Margaret Walsh at the recent  THRIC conference held at Shannon College. The winning paper; Creating Superior Competitive Advantages for the Small Tourism Firm Through Capitalising on the Firm-Level Dynamic Capability of Innovativeness; was submitted to the conference by authors Margaret Walsh, Dr. Patrick Lynch and Dr. Denis Harrington of Waterford Institute of Technology.

In total, 37 academic papers were presented at the 6th annual Tourism and Hospitality Research in Ireland Conference hosted by Shannon College on June 15th and 16th, 2010, covering research on competitiveness, strategy, sustainability, cultural identity and various other contemporary themes relating to current challenges and opportunities in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
